Would you believe Leonard Cohen for the Pretty In Pink set? I though not...
Um, as much as I know about Suzanne Vega is that she rode a wavo of hype
generated (seemingly) by urban newsweekly adsheets wherein the lonely "rock"
writers pine away for times gone past and when not attacking vulgarity (See
how it's creeping into the pardigm, greg?) asan unprofitable (and therefore
unaccessible) pose they are lauding this supposed sadness as
a virtue. And yes, I guess Suzanne is supposed to be sad and is "supposed"
to be our 80's superwoman answer to Joan Baez (but with the aloof market-
ibility that any apolitical goof has) who is praised to all
heights mainly because the folky hardly want anything to do with her as
they recognize commercial gloss when they hear it. Henceforth, it is
the duty of the disaffected rock fans who have not opened up fully to
the New Age / New Jazz (and who don't know the difference between 1/2 Japanese
and fIREHOSE) wallpaper musak to welcome this li'l ol' urcin'
into our hearts and minds. Sue T. (one of those desperate writers for
an urban newsweekly rag) can fill you in on discographies as I understand
she has it engraved inside the ventricles of her heart. Look for her
roadshow at a sophisticated college arena stage near you.

						"neeeeeeh"

P.S. To IED. You're not fooling anybody, IED. Your discography is
incomplete but I'm not going to be the one to tell you WHERE it's wrong.
