Actually, from what I heard last night on Andrea 'Enthal's KPFK show,
Current 93 were denied visas so aren't playing in the U.S. In return
for this tidbit, anyone want to describe their stuff so I can decide
whether to investigate it?

New U2 album Monday. Robert Hilburn reviews it and says they're God,
but then he worships Springsteen so what does he know?

... then he saw her, across the glade, wearing a blue leotard,
kneeling, and muttering "weegah" at him through a megaphone ...

Well I had typed up this really nice review of Current 93's new LP "Dawn",
but then (as often happens) the computer crashed and I lost all my work.
So screw that; any industrial types out there should check out this new LP,
which is probably the best they've done. Side 2 is pretty generic C93
(flowing, trance-inducing stuff), but side 1 has the interesting things,
built on a tape loop of the word "destruction" from the lyric "we're on the
eve of destruction", which is a Who or Stones song I think. This loop is
invaded by various nice crashing sounds, some devistating guitar feedback,
and portions of some other 60's tune whose lyric is "All the leaves are
brown, and the sky is turning grey. I can see for miles, on a <??) day." or
something like that.

Anyway, this is good industrial music.
