Really-From: "ROSSI J.A." <rossi@nusc> Actually to John Labovitz: Thanks, I tried to send to your address directly but this mailer is not very smart. I'd appreciate your sending it when possible. If there is anything that I can get on the .ARPA side for you, just figure out a return address for me to send to (VIA Eddie, possibly) and I'll get it to you. Thanks again, John ------

Really-From: "ROSSI J.A." <rossi@nusc> I woul like to personally thank everyone who replied to my questions about rec.music.synth. In direct response to my last posting, Rich Salz did some tinkering with his mailer and has set up an automatic relay for echoing the stuff over to ARPA. He has also set up a mail address for 'direct deposit' to the newsgroup from .ARPA locations. The thing has been working correctly for several days now, in both directions (hey, I've beta-tested things for a shorter time). At any rate, any DOD techno-junkies who want to directly receive rec.music.synth should post a request for inclusion to the mailing list directly to Rich Salz (RS@MIRROR.UUCP). The address for posting to rec.music.synth is (REC-MUSIC-SYNTH@MIRROR.UUCP). I know from personal mail conversation that Jim Hofmann has wanted direct access to that particular newsgroup for a long time now. People don't know it but Hofboyy is secretly an electronics hobyist and stays up late at night reading the latest issue of the IEEE journal. And everybody in netland thought he was just a good ole Joe. John ------
