It's about a cyborg, not a robot, but it's an enjoyable read anyway so I thought I should mention it. Even better is Watt-evans' series which starts with the novel _Lure of the Basilisk_. The series takes place on an alien planet with alien gods (it's fantasy, not sf). Great stuff. --Pete -------
