We've all seen dumb spelling mistakes in published works. This is just such an amusing anecdote... -- Dave] Hey, I just noticed something that might make a good anecdote for those who complain about the poor quality of writing that that comes from people who rely blindly on such things as the proliferating spelling checkers. The yellow pages of the Boston area phone book has an entry for "mulch", with only a couple of companies. One of them supplies the usual sort of shredded bark mulch, and advertises it as being for, among other things, "bridal paths". I get this romantic image of a couple strolling away from the church along a two-person-wide path through the woods, which has been covered to a depth of about an inch with freshly-shredded pine bark. Eventually they walk up to a small cabin in a clearing, he carries her across the threshold, and as he closes the door, the scene fades and the music swells....
