Well, I just picked up the one game I have been anxiously awaiting for quite awhile on any computer (glad it came on mine ;-)) and I am glad to say they did a fairly good rendition of the game. In a one player game, the speed is close to arcade quality, and the graphics are great. Music is also very good... You can even use most (if not all) of your favorite tricks in the game. There are however some very bad points to the game. First off, in two player mode, the speed is noticibly reduced and does cut down on two player playability. On the last board in two player mode, we have even had the game crash after it started going so slow. Also, they didn't think very much about what people would want to have different in a home game compared to an arcade. For one, there is no pause button which can get to be extremely aggravating. Also, more control over the speed of the game/monsters would be nice, and the ability to "drop in more quarters" for more time would also be nice. I would have also enjoyed a demo mode... Another big dissapointment is the lack of a high score board, no way to brag about your games! I was also disappointed in their support for trackballs, but it does work nicely with a joystick... Overall though, if you like playing Marble Madness as a one player game, they did a fairly good job. Maybe they will come out with a "Marble Madness Construction Set" sometime?!?
