Well it seems that C Limited, former CardCo., is still having some
problems with the early rev's of their aMEGA boards. As you have
probably seen posted, there is a correction to get rid of uneeded
wait states on the aMEGA board. I did the fix as the instructions
said and still had the problem that the machine would GURU on power
up. A representative at C Limited gave me the following correction,
in addition to switching the jumpers.
ONLY TRY THIS IF:
1. You have an early revision of the aMEGA board that "missed the last
step in the assembly process", as described in the previous posting.
2. You followed the fix posted and you still can't run the
Amiga for more than a few minutes without it crashing.
3. You won't blame or flame me should adverse results result.
Hold the aMEGA board right side up, and chip side toward you. Locate the
edge connector. Towards the left side of the board, just above the left
end of the edge connector there is a 7486 chip. Connect a 150 pico-farad
capacitor (or close to 150, I used a 220 pico-farad cap) to pins 6 & 7 of
this chip. Thats it, hope it helps.
0 <---- This is the ~150 pico-farad capacitor.

It's a shame that you need to go through all this for something that
you pay $$$ for, but I must say, having the extra meg is worth the
bother!!
