[mod.amiga] TIMER PEEK ?

Hello,
I am just starting with the amiga - and I need to time events
that are less than a second long. The time$ function's smallest
unit of measurement is a second, so I am wondering if there is
a memory location I can PEEK to get smaller time divisions ?
