Thanks to everyone who answered my previous inquiry on this subject. VT100 and Kermit were the overwhelming recommendations. Now, I'm trying to get mainframe graphics plotted on the Amiga. Remembering I'm restricted to a 2400 baud RS-232 ASCII phone line, my questions are: 1. Are there any Tektronix graphics terminal emulators out there? This looks like the easiest approach. Since I've used Tek graphics on serial RS-232 lines before, I know it can work. 2. (For masochists only ) Our mainframes primary graphics package is ISSCO's DISSPLA. Is any software available to plot the DISSPLA METAFILE format directly? ( METAFILE is a device independent format consisting of vectors and pen-up/pen-down commands. I could download it with Kermit. ) 3. ( A shot in the dark ) For IBM PCs with Hercules or EGA cards, our mainframe has an interface program called GRAPH-PC, which will drive those cards. Is there an emulator that will talk to GRAPH-PC? And, since I'm asking for connections to specific interface programs, is there an Amiga IBM3278 emulator that talks to the SIM3278 program? ( SIM3278 is by SIMWARE, Inc, Nepean, Ontario ) Please mail any responses to me, and I'll let you know if anything works. LT Scott A. Norton, USN 4526P@NavPGS.BITNET
