I recently received a help request from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
They have a Masscomp 5500 running RTU v2.2A and SP-50 rel. 3.1. Their
SL02 board (the serial card for the STD bus) seems to be dead. They have
the device driver loaded and the software (calls to the dacp library)
seems to work w/o errors, but it always tells them that their request
timed out (whether it be input or output). I don't have the SL02, so I
couldn't really answer their questions. I was wondering if anyone out in
computer-land has an SL02 card. If you do, and you wouldn't mind spending
a few minutes on the phone with these people, please send me your name and
