I want to take this opportunity to invite you to the First Annual Gulf Coast Region Masscomp Users' Society Meeting to be held Tuesday, December 2, 1986 at the Hobby Holiday Inn in Houston. This regional meeting will be a scaled-down version of our usual April meeting in Boston, with representatives from Westford in attendance to interact with us. We will have birds-of-a-feather sections for graphics, data acquisition, communications and any other area you would like to suggest. Also there will be user presentations, questions and answers with the Scientific Products Group from Masscomp, demonstration of new third party items of interest and other useful sessions. However, the success of this event all depends on you. We need your attendance and participation to make the meeting useful to you and those like you who have a Masscomp and want to learn how others are using it. The meeting is free. We are being financed by the Houston Area Masscomp Office. You will have to make your own transportation and lodging arrangements. Please let us know if you are coming and if you can help us with the user presentations or birds-of-a-feather sections. We also encourage you to submit questions for the question and answer section. This is particularly important for questions that are complex or highly specialized. This will allow the Masscomp engineers time to research an appropriate answer. We remind you that Masscomp will have available a 5600 and a 5400 for use in the demonstrations by the third-party vendors as well as for your examination. The new Helios system will be available as well. Registration starts at 8:30 am and the event closes with a cocktail party beginning at 4:30 pm. Please contact the Houston Masscomp Sales office for more information. The phone number is (713) 338-6661.
