[mod.computers.masscomp] Emacs for Masscomp

naparst@cartan.berkeley.edu (Harold Naparst) (01/05/87)

We MASSCOMP users have suffered with ved and vi long enough. In the later
distributions of GNU Emacs, such 18.33, we find support for the MASSCOMP
5000 series. I have not tried to load it, but would be pleased to hear from
someone that has. The source is about 6 megabytes. I am not sure about
how to get it, except that I have it. Perhaps you can read comp.emacs to
find out how to get it from mit-prep. As a last resort I can mail it to
you by email, but 6 megabytes is a lot ! Besides, I would have to shar it
all.

[Why don't you submit the source to the Masscomp Users' Society Library?
That way you would not have to worry about distribution. -- sob ]

EPI has modified Unipress Emacs V2.10 to run reasonably well on the
5600, including some limited mouse support. If you have 2.10 and
want these changes, let me know.
