------- Forwarded Message While I can't comment on the versions you have asked about, the new OS-9 68K port for the Atari 1040ST will be available shortly. There is a good Pascal (essentially ISO with some minor differences--I have the manuals and can check the variations for you if necessary) and Fortran-77 is due out a bit later this summer. There is also a 3rd party Pascal by Omegasoft and 2 major database tools (Sculptor which is a 4th generation language/application generator and CSG-IMS which is apparently network oriented). OS-9 is beyond any doubt the most mature and fully developed of the modern *small* OS's available for the 68K family of processors. The only software base which I feel is better developed is full blown Unix, and Unix has drawbacks as well as advantages when compared to OS-9.
