Hi 68k'ers: In Byte last summer, there was an article about a 68020 coprocessor card for IBM and compatibles, made by a company called Definicon. The idea really turned me on, but I couldn't (and can't) afford it. Are there any other 680xx coprocessors out there that are more affordable (say < $500) that would allow one to run OS-9 on a PC and do real 680xx software development? BTW, I recently was able to check out a copy of 68' Micro Journal for the first time, but was kind of disappointed. A lot of the material was aimed at the 8-bit 680x family, and there weren't many ads for 68k products. Hope you can help me, or I may have to sell out to Intel ==]B^)<* Dave Iannucci @ St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia [40 00' N 75 15' W] {{psuvax1, sdcrdcf}!burdvax | {ihnp4, seismo}!bpa | allegra}!sjuvax!iannucci

Hi Dave: There aren't any *cheap* 68K cards for the IBM PC. They seem to start at about $1,000.00. On the otherhand, the Atari 520ST may be buyable for less than $500.00. If you can't get a new one at that price, you may be able to pick up one used fairly soon as people start to move up to the new Mega ST series computers. Cheers! -- Jim O.
