Here are some details about the "Whatever Happened to God?"
series of lectures that are happening this weekend (9th - 11th)
on the UW campus:
Thurs. 7:30, Arts Lecture Hall: "Whatever Happened to God?"
Does God have a place in the modern world or is he old
fashioned and obsolete?
Fri. Noon, Campus Centre: "If God is real, what difference does it make?"
What meaning can we find in our individual lives when stress, pain
and pressure dominate.
Fri. 7:30, Theatre of the Arts: "Sex, money, enjoyment ... What more could
I want?" What does Christianity offer me? Why should I get involved?
Sat. 7:30, Humanities Theatre: Concert with Phil Keaggy and Michael Green.
A short talk on "What will it cost me" will preceed a concert by
Phil Keaggy, an accomplished guitarist and songwriter.
Michael Green, the lecturer for the entire series, is a graduate from
Oxford and Cambridge universities and is presently a professor at Regent
College, University of British Columbia.
