The song "Crown of Creation" borrows from more than one sf source, all
without credit. The later sections of the song, which have the lyrics:
"Life is change. How it differs from the rocks. I've seen their
ways too often for my liking. . . . My life is to survive for you."
are, in fact, direct quotations from John Wyndham's short novel "Re-birth".
Much of Kantner's science-fictional material proves to be "borrowed", alas;
this is just one of the worst-case examples.
