Nothing very interesting has been discussed on this newsgroup ever since the great highway driving debate. Since the Skydome is a mere 70 miles away, and home to the American East Champs, it seems an appropriate time to discuss the ALCS and whether or not the Jays stand a chance against the mighty A's. I thought I'd get the ball rolling with "Jimmy Key is overrated. He's simply lousy this year." and "It will take no more than five for the A's to clinch the AL championships". What are your thoughts on the Jays? ALCS - American League Championship Series

But I also cheer for underdogs and people/teams who haven't yet had it all, so I won't mind if the Jays get into the World Series. As I'm also a Giants fan, I am well set to enjoy the post-season play, as long as the Cubs don't win it all. The jays chances are not so bad. Oakland's ace, Dave Stewart, is, and always has been, a first half pitcher. For each of the last three years (and maybe more), he's been (one of) the first to 10 wins, and has had a great record at the all-star break, but his 2nd half stats have never been as good as his first half. We shall see. *D*
