I posted a request in net.micro for a binary of emacs for a bog standard IBM
PC/XT and got a reply saying that I could find one in net.sources. We keep an
archive of net.sources here but I cann't seem to find this article (apparently
called ME3.6J). I would be very greatful if anyone out there has a copy and
would mail it to me.

I couldn't find it in my net.sources either, and I too would be very grateful
if someone could mail this file to me. Thanks in advance.

Try mod.sources. There's several versions to choose from.
