(just like the y/n field in the active field for allowing postings) News 2.10.3 "knows" about all.sources anyway (along with all.jokes...), so this is no more a hack than thats already there... It should all be configurable - NOT hard-coded into the sources. News should have a config file like ... sendmail.cf (ugh, but at least its very general) - at the moment, binaries can't be ported to machines that live in different domains even. Getting it changed would obviously take considerable time... ho hum Ian Donaldson ps: I love the message: "Are you sure this is really source?" when you post to net.sources.d !!
