Menu Time A Desk Accessory (c) 1986 By Erik Kilk This is public domain Repeated selections of "Menu Time" from the apple menu will alternately install and remove a system font, SEMI-PERMANENT time display on the right side of your menu bar. By SEMI- PERMANENT I mean it will stay their as you change applications but not when you reset your computer. Notice this is different from normal desk accessories which are "put away" when you quit an application. So far I have not seen it crash while running any application. The display appears the same place the Switcher arrows do EXCEPT when Switcher is running. With Switcher the display is shifted to the left to make room for the arrows, AND, as just so happens, the display runs on each application simultaneously. There are two reasons I decided to write this. First, I didn't like the way the normal "Alarm Clock" display would take up desk space. Whenever I put up "Alarm Clock" I would always have to shrink my other windows. Second, I didn't like the way the disk accessories went away every time you quit an application. I often need to see the time to remind me of things I have to do, but it was a pain to have to always call up the clock each time I started a new application and then rearange the windows. I've only tried this on two system configurations. Each were 512k Macs with 64k roms. One was with Finder 4.1 and Finder 5.0 with floppies. The other was Finder 5.0 with HD20.
