A few comments regarding Mac+ mini-DIN 8 to DB25 modem cable. Apple does not seem to market such a cable. They do make a male DB25 to male min-DIN 8 cable, which is sold as a means of connecting an Apple IIe to the the Imagewriter II ***OR*** the Apple personal modem. The OR means that the cable is actually a null-modem cable, and won't work directly with most conventional modems (Apple has configured their Personal Modem as a DTE, while nearly all other modems are configured as DCE's; Apple did it differently, but with very good reasons). You could buy Apple's cable and then get a female-to-male DB25 null-modem cable ($15 from Dow Electronics); but I trust somebody will market the correct cable one of these days.
