[net.micro.atari8] Ram disks and OSS Pascal

boomsma@VU44.UUCP (Raoul Boomsma) (02/24/86)

I don't have answers, but some questions:

I'm using the DRI C-Compiler with RAM disk, and the object file
generation goes pretty quick (about 20 seconds for small files),
but the linking is very time-expensive since more than 100K must
be loaded from floppy (libraries).
Question is if OSS Pascal can run all at a time on the RAM disk,
when compiling small programs (I have a 520ST without TOS in
ROM).
I also want to know if OSS Pascal generates object files that can
be used with the C-compiler, or makes only executable code (like
TDI Modula).
