[net.micro.atari8] Robot Wars

Hello all,
I recently found a game which I really like. It's called Robot Wars. It
is a pretty old game, but it has just enough complexity to be interesting to
me as a programmer. In the game, you program robots using a simple language.
Then you place them on the battlefield with other robots and see what happens.
After the robot has been created, you have no control over it. All you can do
is look for improvements to build into your next robot program.
All of this is fine. The only problem is that the game is written for
the Apple (cough) computer. (I couldn't resist)
Does anyone out there know if this program is available for the Atari
8-bits? Please post or reply by e-mail. Thanks in advance.

		              Have a day.
                                  Eb.

Sounds similar to a game called "Cytron Masters," one of the many fine games
written by Dan Bunten (also M.U.L.E. and Seven Cities of Gold).

Although not exactly the same, it probably plays similarly, and is loads of
fun....I don't remember who publishes it though, as it came out prior
to his association with Electronic Arts....Boy, can that guy write games!

A great game, which learns from your play rather than being programmable
like Robot Wars. It is published by Strategic Simulations, Inc.
