Hello,
I noticed some interest in expanding the 8 bit ataris memory, I'm posting
a couple of articles on the 130XE, one expands to 320K the other to 576K!!!!
Also reference is made to an article explaining the expansion of the old 800
to 288K, I am trying to locate this article, may just breakdown and send the
guy the money for it and the software he mentions in the second article. Also
if you haven't read it there is an article in the Sept. 85 BYTE explaining how
to expand the 800XL to 256K, don't know if it is XE compatible though.
A while back someone wanted information about connecting Ataris to lab
equipment, I'm not sure if it was posted here or the 16 bit group, but if it
was I suggest you look up the article: Interfacing the Atari Microcomputer
in the Science Laboratory. Published in the Journal of Computers in Math and
Science Teaching, Spring 83.
As for the vt100 emulator, I am having trouble with getting xmodem on our
unix system to upload properly, as soon as I get it uploaded I'll post it. It
does emulate 80 columns with built-in software. I have an idea how I might be
able to get it to this system (VMS) from our ultrix machine, it will be
uuencoded. Sorry for the delay, I'll keep you posted.
