[net.micro.atari8] Lucasfilm/Epyx Game Questions, mostly Kronis Rift

Lucasfilm Games
***************
Has anyone heard what is coming out for the 8-bit and 16-bit Atari's.
If really spectacular versions were made for ST's, I might just
break down and buy an ST.

Has anyone gotten this game running on an Indus drive yet ?

Kronis Rift
***********
( My current favourite and therefore the one I have the most
  questions about. )

What is the thing that appears in the 5th display screen as illustrated on the
box and in the instructions.

Is it helpful to record the ship shape or is there a one-to-one relationship
between the design/color of the ship and the insignia of the Ancient race.

Is there anything to be obtained from the monster hulk at the end of Rift 6.
Why is there something that makes him fall apart?

I have found besides the things in the guide, a radio and a map-maker. What
else is there. I do not want to know the exact system icons, I just can't
think of anything that a Techno-Scavenger's Rover would need.

Is the ECM ( Electronic countermeasure device ) just a waste of time and energy?
It seemed that the Guardians found me just as fast with/without it.

Are any of the Radars really helpful or will you get everything in the Rift
eventually? That is, will the Ancient radars find or do anything that
standard Rover's won't.

Are the power reserves just for the lasers? Or do they supply power to
the shields, drives, etc. .

There seems to be something weird about the analysis of objects. Is there some
sort of depreciation of modules?

Is it possible to save your current game to another disk?
I once got stuck in the mountains on level 7, thought that
I would never get out, and restarted from level 1.
I also have saved several times the level 1 ( after dying ) on top
of my high level saved game.
If I invested in another copy of Kronis Rift, would I be able
to save my current game on it?

The manual mentions a timer. What would it time?

What is the best way to prevent/fix stalled engines?

Can more than one module of the same type be active at the same time?
How is the one ( if only one can be active at a time ) chosen? by position?

What are the scrolling things on the display screens when the fire
button is pressed after the game is loaded? test patterns?

Does the radio do anything besides reeking havoc with the power?

Are there any interesting mountain patterns like writing?
