<the line eater is history.....> Many thanks to Micheal Jenkins at University of Toronto for his VT52 emulator. I downloaded, modified the termcaps and it works perfectly. So well in fact, that I went out and bought a 1200 baud modem. It took me a lot of searching, all of it in vain to try and discover how the XIO commands work. I searched all of my manuals... but none of them had a listing of the XIO commands and, for example, how to set the baud rate of R:. I finally made some intelligent(?) guesses about how to increase the speed variable in Micheal Jenkins program (1 step at a time), and with speed set to 3, it now works perfectly at 1200 baud. I love it!!!! Request: If anyone has a complete listing of the XIO commands, I would love it if they would post it. An example of the difficulties I had. Atari basic: list XIO 3,5,7,9,11,12,13,17,18,32,33,35 36,37,38,254 Basic A+: ditto ACTION! : said to look in DOS XL, or OSA DOS -nothing there My 850 manual: borrowed... frustration!!! Anyways, if somebody has a complete list, or has lots of tidbits, I will be more than happy to compile them into a comprehensive list. Warren Long University of Saskatchewan Canada
