[net.micro.atari8] Information Sought

mckenzie@J.BBN.COM (Alex McKenzie) (09/30/86)

I'm looking for some information about software for the 800 to make stationery,
signs, cards, etc. Can anyone comment on the capabilities of "Print Shop",
"Page Designer", "Rubber Stamp","Megafont" or any others. Assuming they all do
roughly the same thing, any opinions about which is best (is this even a good
assumption - all I know is that I've seen their names in magazines)?

Also I'm looking for some "flash card" type software to help my third grader
practice math (currently addition/subtraction, but multiplication and division
are coming). I've hacked together some basic programs, but they aren't very
flashy and hence seem too much like school. Is anyone aware of software for
this type of drill with pizazz?

Thanks for any help,
Alex McKenzie (mckenzie@j.bbn.com)

I use Print Shop to print letterheads. I find it very easy to use. I
have never used any of the other products so I can't compare them ,
but I do feel that print shop offers more graphics than anything else.
There are 3 ps libraries available for sale, most user groups have pd
graphics.
