Hi Atari people,

My brother bought an Atari 800 for a mere $100 here in Belgium.
He would be interested in RS232 communication to transfer files.
I was telling him of Kermit which is rather widespread over here.
But the problem is the listed price for an RS232 interface is $150,
excessive compared to the machine's.
I also had a look at the Kermit doc and found it needed an Action!
cartridge to work.
Is there a cheaper or better alternative than that?
Or is there a way to read/write Atari diskettes on other machines
e. g. Commodore 64 or vice versa.
Also does a server exist where I could find utilities to download.
It must be a server, because I have no interactive access to Arpa.

Please reply me directly as I am not on the list.

Thanks for him.
