<Mmmm, tasty> I've just started using my 520ST for things other than terminal emulation, and I have a few questions for anyone who may be able to help me. I have the developers kit, but not much else. 1) Does anyone know how to convince the Control Panel not to nuke the time? I wrote a program to put in my "auto" directory to set the time. It works fine normally, but when run from "auto" it apparently sets the time, only to have it overwritten by the control panel accessory at startup. Any suggestions?? 2) Can a desk accessory be written such that it runs to completion, and simply terminates (As opposed to sitting around in an infinite loop of sleep calls)? Specifically, I have in mind writing an accessory to run through an 'auto2' directory, and run stuff AFTER all the desktop information is set up. 3) Has anyone got a copy of a public domain RAMDISK that works? The person who gave me mine mentioned that there was a bug, but I never saw any fixes come by. 4) Has anyone gotten RTS/CTS handshaking to work well? I have my ST hooked directly to a UN*X box at 9600 baud, and RTS/CTS doesn't work at all. I'm not positive it's the ST's fault, so I'm just looking for verification. -- Mike Hojnowski UUCP: ..rochester!moscom!jgpvax!mqh CSNET: "moscom!jgpvax!mqh"@ritcv
