We just installed two SHD212 "prototype" 20Megbyte hard disks on our ST's. The speed really is impressive. Micro-emacs and an 8K file come up with about the speed that one expects of a RAMDISK. The problem with head parking is very real. One of our office mates cycled the power on the hard drive without running the head parking program. The file system was trashed. We are now posting procedures and will soon install an iron maiden for the unfortunate souls who do not take heed!
