[net.micro.atari16] solved problem with uudecode

rwb@druxu.UUCP (BlackR) (03/10/86)

I found the problem with using uuencoded files. I wrote my own file
download program (XMODEM) and it dropped a sector (128 bytes) every time
the record counter wrapped from 255 to 0. Needless to say, downloaded
files could not be expected to be decoded properly. Since then, I've
modified my receive program to handle binary files (how I found the bug)
as well as text and I run uudecode on VAX. When downloaded, the binaries
run fine (except two of us have not had any luck with getting as68.ttp
to run).

Sorry for raising a false alarm.
