Here is an ST unsqueezer for unsqueezing foo.xQx (squeezed) files. You
will need this as a number of large binary files which are squeezed will
soon be posted to the net (beginning with a public domain forth from the
San Leandro Computer Society).
To use: (CLI) >stusq foo.xQx
(GEM) double click on stusq.ttp, enter foo.xQx in dialog box

Am I missing something here? I tried to use stusq.ttp on the pdforth that
was posted to the net a while ago and couldn't get the unsqueezer to work.
I put everything on disk A, clicked on stusq.ttp, entered pdforth.tqs, and
hit return. The disk was accessed for about half a second and the program
came back with nothing. I looked at the uudecoded version and found a bunch
of ^@ at the very beginning. This doesn't seem normal to me. Below is the
first few lines of the uuencoded version of stusq.ttp. Can someone tell me
if this is right and what I am doing wrong? (by the way, I haven't had
any trouble uudecodeing on UNIX and down loading to my 520st, before this)

I'm having some trouble getting STUSQ to do the right thing...
I used Kermit to get the uuencoded file off a Vax and ran it through
the ST uudecoder provided by franco@indiana.CSNET. When I try to run
STUSQ it appears to load, but then exits normally. This happens using
both CLI and the Desktop. I tried the SID68K debugging tool to see if
I could see where it was going and all I got was "Bus Error at 00049B50".
SID68K itself runs OK, but I get the Bus Error when trying to read STUSQ.
So, I thought I'd try DUMP'ing STUSQ to see if there were any ASCII
strings, just to check that the uudecode worked... Here's a few of the

From this I think it's fair to assume that the uudecoder is working
fine, but for some reason STUSQ won't load and/or run. I have a 520ST
with TOS in RAM, monochrome monitor, twin single-sided disks and 512K of
RAM. I am not currently using any RamDisk, so there should be enough
spare RAM. Also, I have used ST uudecode on other things that worked...
Does anyone have any bright ideas ?? Do I need any particular TOS
or other environment ?? Is STUSQ supposed to start with 120 zero words ??

Alot of people have received those files and alot have not. Apparently this is what happened: the files left IUBUGS (my machine) ok and were traveling merrily along from node to node until some node garbled it. Then all other nodes "downwind" of that node picked up the garbled message and transmitted it perfectly to many other sites. So alot of people have garbled files that look alike. I will not send any binaries for awhile due to a number of complaints that I have received. If you want the files I sent I suggest that you take a gamble and send one to three disks to the address below. I will copy a number of files onto those disks. (about 20 accessories such as RAMDISKS, command line interface, clocks etc., about 20 utilities such as a disk editor/file recovery program, microemacs, xmodem, (un)squeezer etc., about 20 fonts and fontloader/fonteditor, a disassembler, XLISP, the FORTH I posted, PROLOG, Tiny Basic, PD Assembler, Sources for XLISP, xmodem and a few other things, some documentation etc.) (that was about three disks worth).
