In the March '86 Question and Answer Bulletin from Atari there was the following question: Are there any variables around so I can get the position of the cursor? The answer stated that the cursor position was kept in a couple of words at negative offsets from the line A variables base address. Specifically it said that the cursor x position was at -14 words and the cursor y position was at -13 words from the line A base address. Well I tried this and those two words didn't change no matter how much I moved the mouse. Has anybody else had any success using these two magic memory locations? Or could somebody tell me the correct procedure to go thru to get the current mouse position (without using VDI). I know I could intercept the mouse packets from the keyboard but I would rather not do that if I don't have to. -- Ron Janzen Ontario Science Centre, Toronto ...!{allegra,ihnp4,decvax,pyramid}!utzoo!oscvax!ron
