TDI has just released a new version of their MODULA-2
compiler, version 2.10a, with significant improvements:

... desk accessories are now supported
by linking the desk accessory run time support
module GEMACCX.LNK in place of GEMX.LNK
... desktop-like user interface
... one-step procedure to compile and link
... improved editor
... etc. etc.

We paid 25 pounds UK for the update.

They also offer a developer's tool kit, including
a symbolic debugger and a resource construction tool
called RSCMAKER. But we have not seen it yet.

TDI Software Inc.'s coordinates:

UK: 29 Alma Vale Road, Bristol BS8 2HL, phone: UK-272-742796
US: 10410 Markison Road, Dallas, Texas 75238 phone: USA-214-348-4942

I intend to write a mini-review of the MODULA compiler soon.
If you mail your comments to me directly, I will try to
include them in the review.

Disclaimer: I could care less about TDI's profits.

Claimer: ... but I *am* interested in promoting MODULA-2.
It certainly beats PASCAL, FORTRAN (what's that ?),
and even C (if it weren't for UNIX) and ADA
            (M-2 is much smaller).
