[net.micro.atari16] What's the 'F' for?

I don't ever remember anyone explaining what the small 'F' stood for after
the ST on the 1040 STs. I've got the hint that the small 'M' on the newer
520 STs are for modulated, so does the 'F' stand for Floppy?
