[net.micro.atari16] PC Board Designer Program

john@anasazi.UUCP (John Moore) (06/17/86)

Board Designer program from Abacus. For those of you interested, the
advertising blurb makes it sound pretty good except for the price ($399).
It does single or double sided boards, with auto routing, and it has
a standard library of symbols but lets you add to them. It produces
output on Epson style printers and one other (I don't remember which).
They are working on (release 4-8 wks) drivers for some plotters.
My questions:
	(1) Is this program really any good? Has anyone on the net used it
enough to tell if it works without too many bugs?
	(2) Is it possible for the user to write a device driver for some
custom device?
	(3) What will the additional device drivers cost?
	(4) How suitable is MX-80 2X1 artwork for serious PC work?

I found it hard to get answers to these questions from Abacus.
