A local Atari dealer reported that ROM upgrades for the original 520STs are in short supply. Dealers were shipped just enough ROMs to update the machines they had sold. Unforunately, there seems to be a missed communication between Atari and at least some of the dealers. I bought the ROMs from a different dealer, leaving the poor guy at least one short. Appearently, *extra* ROM sets will be available, I assume as reapir parts, but at a much higher price. (Only as it should be, I guess) It now appears necessary for a redistribution of the available resources. How about it Neil @ Atari? Will Atari poll its dealers for an inventory of ROM sets, and request (or direct) redistribution? Disclaimer: My views tend to reflect minority opinion. Sometimes a minority of one.
