Hi there! I ported Hack 1.0.3 to the Atari ST and would like to know, whether anybody is interested in it. Before distributing it I want to add the mouse as an input-device so that you can play much easier than only with the keyboard. I don't know yet how to distribute it, so this note is just to get some feedback on the issue. YES!!!!!! I am very curious about the system setup you used to compile it. What C compiler did you use? What type and how many drives? I've been toying with the idea of porting it myself, but with only a single ds drive and 360k ramdisk I didn't think it was possible to compile and link the thing. Phil

If you mail me a copy on disk, I will place it on the Atari BBS and wherever else is appropriate (CompuServe, BIX, GENIE, the works). I have already done this for the "puzzle puzzle" shareware game from Germany. -- --->Neil @ Atari ...lll-crg!vecpyr!atari!neil or ...lll-lcc!vecpyr!atari!neil BIX: neilharris CIS: 70007,1135 Delphi: NEILHARRIS GENIE: nharris WELL: neil Atari Corp. <Instead of responding to each single letter, I received...> So far I got 25 responses from netters who are interested in Hack for the Atari ST. A lot of them suggested to post an uuencoded binary to the net. But I am not sure to do so because the binary with support files is about 300kb in size, and compressed and uuencoded it will still be around 200kb. But if there is more interest (let's say 100 netters) and no one against it, I tend to post the binary. Otherwise I will distribute it via diskettes. If I decide to post: where should I do it? Could it be net.sources.games or net.micro.atari16 or what else? And is there a maximum for article size so that I have to split it into parts? I do not intend to distribute the source since it is compiler dependent (Lattice) and I used some include files from BSD. I am yet another 'netter' who is interested in rogue for the atari ST (binaries are fine, but sources would be nice too). M. Brinsmead, University of Calgary

I have posted the binary of Hack for Atari ST to net.sources.games. It is Hack 1.0.3 with the updates from Mike Stephenson which he posted recently to the net. I hope that there are not too many bugs in it...
