(Flames to /dev/null) Could someone give me pointers to free Atari ST software available via FTP? I'm choosing between the 1040ST and Amiga, and what could clinch it for the ST is availability and accessibility of free software (cheapskate, me? of course!). The main thrust of my search is towards word processors, terminal programs, Unix shell emulators, languages, and of course sound/graphics programs that can take the ST to the limit. Also, any possible multitasking utilities. Thanx in advance for any replies. David -- Name: David P. Zimmerman Nickname: "Davidann" (don't ask) Cute quote: " (well, *I* think it's cute!) I only recently purchased an Atari 1040ST, and would appreciate any pointers which anyone could give me to archives of Public Domain Software for the ST. (Especially any which I could access via FTP.) I have also seen many posts on net.micro.atari16 which refer to other posts which I have not seen. If there are any 1040ST related mailing lists to which I could subscribe, please sign me up. Thanks very much in advance. Bill von Hagen ARPA : wvh@gauss.ece.cmu.edu
