[net.micro.atari16] Cursor keys

C020CB@UTARLVM1.BITNET (Chris Burns) (08/26/86)

  Several questions (using a 520ST):
   1. Is there any way to read the cursor keys from a BASIC program.
From what I've tried, they appear to be somewhat 'local', except
that the BASIC editor uses them.
   2. Again, the cursor keys, but this time using the VT52 emulator. I
signed onto a VAX and got into full screen edit and found I couldn't
move around the screen. What can I do?
   3. Can I set the function keys? How?
   4. I have Haba-Hippo C and BASIC. I want to use random disk files (or
indexed, like BASICs 'random' file). I would prefer to use a
compiled program. Is there any description of using random files,
       generally?

If someone could answer or point me to some inexpensive information (I
can't afford the $300 Developer's kit).

                        right format.)
