[net.micro.atari16] UNITERM PART 1 OF 5 / README

K538915@CZHRZU1A.BITNET (08/27/86)

Please consider this version of UniTerm as a Beta test version, some functions
are not very well tested, but the VT102 mode should be OK.

To cut down the size of the uuencoded executable I had to cut it in three
pieces, the files should be in part 3,4 and 5 of this posting. At the end
of each line except the 'begin' and 'end' lines there is a lower case a,b
or c, this is to stop trailing blanks being destroyed by Bitnet/Earn. To
uudecode Uniterm cut away the headers from files 3,4 and 5 and concatenate
them in some way. The first part should have a's as line endings the second
b's and the third c's. Now you should be able to run the resulting file
through uudecode (if it doesn't work try deleting all lower case
a's,b's and c's), name the resulting file UniTerm.Prg.

      File sizes: Part a : 48379 Bytes
                       b : 44800 Bytes
                       c : 46277 Bytes
                  Total :139456 Bytes
UniTerm.Prg : 96522 Bytes (this is one Byte less than the
                                        original file, probaly a bug
in my version of uuencode, but
                                        it still seems to work)
The manual for UniTerm is in PROFF source in file 2 of this posting, to
cut it up in to the seperate files search for the string
---cut here---
you should end up with following files:
              ug.prf
              macros.prf
              toc.prf
              chapter1.prf
              chapter2.prf
              chapter3.prf
              chapter4.prf
              apndx1.prf
              apndx2.prf
              apndx3.prf
Run ug.prf thru PROFF and you should have the UniTerm user's guide. If anybody
doesn't have PROFF I might send them the formatted manual. The macros were
adopted from those used for Tim Oren's ProGEM series, thanks to who ever wrote
them.

Please send me bug reports and suggestions concerning UniTerm, I will support
it and will release a new version in 2 to 3 months.
