[net.micro.atari16] wet floppy disks!!

Offhand, I would think that putting it in a bell jar and pulling a vacuum on
it would be the safest way.  But I would try it on another floppy disk first
to make sure that nothing else besides the water boils away!!!

This method is good because it will not use any heat and because it will
definitely dry out any water inside the device without having to open it.
Does anybody else have any experience with the effects of vacuum on a disk?

Considering how important the data is to you, I would also call the disk
manufacturer and ask them if they think vacuum is safe and if they have a
better idea.
