Is there some kind of trick to log onto the ATARI BBS? I can CONNECT, but
then there is no response. I've tried RETURN and several Control characters
without success.

However, on quite a few occasions, I've had the problem you describe-- a connect, then nothing. It happens maybe 1/4 of the time. We check the BBS at least once per business day, so the answer is to try again the next day and you ought to get through. By the way, the main number for the Atari Base BBS is 408-745-5308. The number you listed is the 3rd of 5 lines. When the board is busy, calling the main number gives you 5 chances to get through. I seem to have misplaced the number of Atari's BBS in Calif. Also is
it possible for somebody to post to the net a listing of both the 8
and 16 bit software on Atari Base.
