Having recently bought a CZ-101 and hooked it to my ST, I'm in a "transport of musical delight"! However, the documentation that comes with the synth is quite awful, and lacks certain information. Since the CZ-101 is supposed to be a hot seller among ST fans, I'm hoping someone out there can answer these questions: 1) For "system exclusive" MIDI messages, what is Casio's manufacturer ID code? 2) Also for "system exclusive" MIDI messages, the manual lists the various names of messages that the synth responds to, but not their encodings. Does anyone know the exact sequence of bytes and their values? By the way, if you're looking for a good book on MIDI, one has finally come out. "MIDI for Musicians", by Craig Anderton, is a VERY well-written and clear presentation of MIDI and how it works. I recommend it! (standard disclaimer here) Thanks for your time!
