I downloaded the second executable for version 3.7 of uemacs last week. I could not get it to work. Its decodes without any problems, but as soon as I try to run it, it runs and exits before anything can happen. I downloaded the earlier version posted in about July, and the same exacted thing happened. I rarely have any trouble with sources, so there must be something about uemacs that my machine does not like. I have a 1040. I have not had any problems with other big programs like hack or uniterm that I've pulled off the net. Any ideas? Could it be the resource file? I didn't think they were supposed to be straight text. I had the same problem with uEmacs 3.7i that Phil Paone did (it starts up and exits). Unlike Phil, though, I didn't have any problems with the last version that came across the net. Help... :-( --Lynn -------
