[net.micro.atari16] C++ Preprocessor

camis..ajb@MITRE.ARPA (ajb@mitre) (10/20/86)

Is there really a C++ preprocessor available in the Public domain or has
this whole discussion re: long identifiers just been hypothetical.
Where can I get a copy of C++ (or cfront, or whatever) ? Does C++ also
exist for the Vax ?

   Unfortunately it is largely hypothetical. There are two points of concensus
in this discussion. 1) We all want C++ for the ST, and 2) Nobody knows
whether it exists.

   Cfront (the C++ "preprocesor") exists for BSD UNIX running on VAXen.
(and, I suspect, any other BSD4.2 installation)
