[mod.compilers] Want FORTRAN 77 compiler validation suite

johnl@ima.UUCP (Compilers mailing list) (06/17/86)

My department (Computing Center) at Purdue University is looking for
FORTRAN 77 compiler validation suites. We use FORTRAN 77 on machines
ranging from micros to supercomputers. Anyone knowing of a reasonable
suite please contact me at one of the addresses given below. (In order
to not rule out any suite, let's pretend that my department has an
unlimited budget--wouldn't that be great!)

[I know of two Fortran 66 suites, the Navy suite which is pretty easy to pass
and the NBS suite which is pretty hard to pass unless you really implement
everything in F66 correctly. Both are available from the NTIS for a tape
handling fee of about $100. I haven't seen any F77 suites, but I haven't
been looking recently -John]
