My religious beliefs restrict donation to those cases where someone will directly benefit; preferably, a life will be saved. Donation for research purposes is generally prohibited, unless, again, someone will be directly helped. In addition, any organs removed but not used -must- be buried, preferably with my body. End of the matter: donation of my body parts -must- be controlled by someone I trust in the matter. No one has the right to fiddle arbitrarily with my physical body, just because my soul is no longer in it!! BTW, New York has had organ donor info on its licenses for several years. Look on the back. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steven H.
