Well, it's just tough to think of something science fiction oriented that is 'local'. Well, okay, recently [last Friday] Tanya Huff was signing her second book, "The Last Wizard", at Bakka in Toronto. But then, that's not science fiction, it's fantasy. On more of a science fiction note, I want to go to Contraption '89 in Detroit, where Mark and Evelyn Leeper are the Fan Guests of Honour [or Honor, as they say down there]. However, I have a problem in that I don't have a car and train service to the Detroit suburb it's in is spurious to say the least. So, anyone want to go? If you've never been to a 'Con, I'll even give you a bit of a guided tour. Contraption takes place the weekend of May 5-7. Reid
