                 VECTOR AND PARALLEL PROCESSORS

                    IN COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE

                            Liverpool

                     25th - 28th August 1987

                 REGISTRATION AND ACCOMMODATION

This conference (VAPP III) follows two highly successful
conferences in Chester (VAPP I, 1981) and Oxford (VAPP II, 1984)
on Vector and Parallel Processors in Computational Science. The
format of the meeting will follow the pattern set by its prede-
cessors. It is intended to review hardware and architecture
development together with languages and software tools for sup-
porting parallel processing. Another objective of the conference
will be to highlight advances in algorithms and applications
software on vector and parallel architectures. The programme
will include both numerical applications (eg Physics and
Engineering) and non-numerical applications (eg image processing,
simulation, movies).

other speakers on applications in areas such as chemistry and
movies have still to be confirmed.

Cray (U.K.), Floating Point Systems, Intel, Meiko, Sequent

There will also be displays of parallel and vector processing
books by various publishers.

Forms for conference registration and for accommodation at the
University of Liverpool Halls of residence (the conference venue)
are attached. There are no double rooms but most of the accommo-
dation is in the form of pairs of adjoining single rooms with a
shared private bathroom.
